We are proud by the world of digital in this era. We can see many things in the whole world in a digital form. I suppose an half of people in the earth use the advance of our technology especially internet. People can connect each other in a far distance. People helped by it to make their life easier. We know there are so many benefits that we can get from the internet. But have we ever thought about the negative effect which caused by it? Have we ever thought that our child is going to be lazier? Games, pornography, doctrine, we can find on internet so easy. So let’s talk about the positive and negative effect from the internet.
The user of internet in the whole world are always increasing in every year. Noted that user of internet in 1995 were sixteen million people, and the last research, in 2008 about 1.565.000.000 people that used internet in the whole world1. The increasing of user of internet are apropriate, considering to people that will always need so many kind of material for learning, bussiness, or just for some kind of entertainment, and surely internet are always provide it.
When the user are always increasing every time, so parent should be worry, because their children maybe include to the user of the internet. They should be worry because there will not always be the good things that will be available on internet. Just like pornography, videos of violence, we used to find it as easy as we can. Without a guiding by the parents, children would not know which one that they should takes, the positive thing of the internet. Internet could be a trigger to do the crime. Beside it, as we know, there were cyber crimes. People can steal the bank from computer, of course using internet, abusing, defamation and many more. Some child may be going to be lazy when they find a things that interested them, just like a game, even there were a case that because of game someone has kill himself.
There will be so many people that can be succes by the way of internet. In Indonesia a child has create a social network by himself. It makes so much money for him, and also he is being famous. His parent surely proud of him. Beside so many bad things on internet, there are a good thing from internet. The child above as example. Parent could be guide their children to be more creative, while so many positive things that we can learn from internet, may be blogging could be more attractive than just playing games.
So many good things we can learn from internet, so many bad thing that we should evade from internet, we have to divide, which are good to take and which are bad to discard, not just for children but for anyone who realize.
